World Youth Days – Young doctors and medical students attending FIAMC session Krakow

Venue-300x198During the upcoming World Youth Days, the FIAMC committee for Young Doctors and Medical Students will organize a seminar entitled: “I was sick and you visited me”. The seminar will take place on Wednesday July 27th at the Collegium Novum from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, between 2 and 4 pm. The FIAMC Bioethics Committee will also be represented. In this meeting students and young professionals will reflect on the role of mercy in the lives of health professionals and will be able to exchange experiences with colleagues from around the globe. Cases where the Use of Non Abortifacient Contraceptives can be Lawful

The case of threat of microcephaly within the scope of Zirka epidemics and the interview of Pope Francis during his way back flight from Mexico to Rome on this matter has led a ad hoc committee of the FIAMC to publish a text on cases where the use of non abortifacient contraceptives can be lawful, a text assessed by Father Jacques Suaudeau, Ecclesiastical Assistant of the FIAMC.

FIAMC Lenten Message

Suaudeau2-300x168Last  December 8th on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception Pope Francis led the Church in the holy Year of Mercy, a time of grace, peace, conversion and joy.  This Holy Year will conclude on Sunday, 20 November 2016, the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe and living face of the Father’s mercy. It is meant for everyone: people of every age, from far and near.  The Holy Door is now open in Rome and in all the dioceses of the world. As Pope Francis tells us “There are no walls or distances which can prevent the Father’s mercy from reaching and embracing us”.
